The rim of the cup on this work depicts shoppers and workers in their lunch hour, shopping and supporting the ‘cycle of work and consumption’. As the shoppers spin around on these exhaustive, endless cycles they also can be on the rim of ‘the void’ or ‘nothingness’ - that parallel, spiritual existence of the still, empty space.” |
