“Drawing upon beliefs, ideas and imagery relative to motherhood and growing up Catholic. What do I believe these days? What are my meditative symbols today? Gold, blue and white colours that signify religiousness, purity and wealth.

I have used oil paint and gold leaf as it references tradition. The irregular circular shapes are my motifs. They are derivative of discarded eggshells, disposable white cups that at times bear an uncanny resemblance to communion bread. The signs and symbols I use are not grounded. They are borrowed from various sources and are placed irreverently upon and about the picture plane. They remain available and relevant depending upon their need and necessity.”
